Labour has been fundamental in shaping legislation, workplace standards, health care and other integral features of Canadian life.” This is from the introduction to Standing Strong, Facing Forward - The History of the Labour Movement in Peterborough and District by Tara DeBlois. The Labour Council will be making a concerted effort in the new year to raising the funding needed to publish this illustrated history. The goal is a spring launch.
