Labour Day Picnic

September 3, 2001 - Beavermead Park

Our annual Labour Day Picnic was held on Monday Sept 3rd with a record number of people attending the event. Starting at Noon there were hamburgers and hot dogs for all who attended and also Baskin-Robbins ice cream and a freshly made greek salad from the Shish-Kabob Hut. The bouncy castle was bouncin' away (with a little help from executive members Betty Cree, Laurie Miller and Bev Toivonen) and the races were as exciting as ever. After the games prizes were handed out to all the children (and most of the big kids too) from our donors including Chapters, Loblaws, Canadian Tire and Goodlife. The council would like to extend our warmest thanks to all our sponsors as the event turned out to be a great success this year. We can't wait until next year (well barely anyways!) A very special thank you goes out to Laurie Miller, without whom the picnic would not have been possible. THANKS LAURIE!
