Labour Day Picnic

September 2nd, 2002 - Beavermead Park

Our 12th annual Labour Day Picnic was held on Monday, Sept 2nd with well over 300 people in attendance. Starting at Noon there were hamburgers, hot dogs, greek salad, popcorn, cotton candy, and Baskin-Robbins ice cream. We had a bouncy castle and mini-golf this year. The races were as exciting as ever. Prizes were handed out to all the children and a door prize draw involved most of the adults as well. The council would like to extend our warmest thanks to all our sponsors as the event turned out to be a great success again this year. Thank you to Bev and Kent Toivonen, Dave Nickle, Bill and Shari Astell, Dean Shewring, Marion Burton, and Dan Murphy. A very special thank you goes out to Laurie Miller, without whom the picnic would not have been possible. THANKS LAURIE!
